Fun Weekend until the flu hit....

We had a great couple of days before the Shelby ended up with the flu like Kelsey had a few days earlier. We went to the park the girls played and I played with my camera. Taking way to many pictures. Here are a few.

On Sunday Shelby was going to go to Disney on Ice but, with a high fever, Kelsey went instead. She had a great time too. We went with Gina and Rai Rai. It was a lot of fun and now I have Disney stuff to scrapbook. Something I have wanted to do for a long time.

I just started a great book, Eat Pray Love. it is fantastic. Very insightful, I recommend it to everyone.

Fishing at Folsom

One rare day that Stephen and I had off together we took the girls fishing down at folsom. It was a wonderful fun warm day perfect for being outside. the girls had so much fun and really couldn't wait to get into the water. It started with there shoes coming off then somehow Shelby ended up partially naked. Wonder how that happend. It was a great day and no one fell into the lake. We didn't catch any fish but we had a great time.

5 minutes

that is all i Have for this morning to myself, well I guess you could add on the 17:47 minutes that I used to run on my treadmill. But even cut that short to make time for my morning coffee. Time. It's a funny thing. I never seem to have enough of it. I have been carring around a timer (something that lets me know that time is moving faster than I would like). And it has help with productivity. however, things are getting done half ass. So here is the question. Would you rather take more time to do one thing and in turn have less time for others OR spending less time on something possibly cutting corners and have more time for more tasks. hummm loaded questions this early in the morning. So my TIME is up for the computer this morning.
Have a great day.

Stephen's Bday Present

Here is are some pictures on the little dog book I made Stephen for his birthday.

Yeah, I recevied my treadmill. I am so excited, we are going to put it in the family room, so I can get up early and watch all my recorded shows while I run!!!!! I have registered to do the Bay to Breakers on May 18th and now it is time to train.

I can't tell you how excited I am about the treadmill. Now Stephen has to get home and put it together, YEAH.

It's been a boring two weeks, just the same stuff, Stephen turned 38! Last friday and the kids and I made him a Dinosaur cake, (forgot to take a pic.) and I made him a little cute album of his dog Gauge. He went Duck hunting in the morning of the big day and then home to watch the girls, because I had to work. On sunday we went to Deb's and celebrated there too. Denise Rob and Kaylee, are home from Kauai. Kaylee is so big and beautiful. We are so glad they are home.

Curly was shot

Last night our cat Curly was shot with a BB Gun, in front of our house. Can you believe it! He came running in the kitchen about 5:45pm, Gauge scared him out, and I turned and noticed a GIGANTIC pool of blood. Not just drops, a pool. Stephen and I tracked the blood through out backyard with flashlights and calling his name. Curly finally came from our neighbors yard 45 min. later.

He was bleeding from the neck really bad. I took him to the emergency room, and they rushed him in like in ER, but there weren't so many people and he was is a cat, (but you get the picture). A tech came out named Paul, who I think felt really bad for having to give me the devastating news that this was about to cost me about a $1,000.00 an hour! As i tried not to hyperventilate, through my tears, I told him that all we wanted to do was xrays, iv and meds, that alone was $350.00! And then we would do what we needed when they knew exactly what had happened.

20 minutes later Dr. Furtado was ready to talk with me, she did confirm that Curly was shot with a BB or Pellet Gun and it entered the left side of his neck barely missing his esophagus and trachea along with arteries and other stuff, it then traveled toward the back of his body finally stopping along the ribs outside of the body cavity. Thank GOD! no Surgery.

I was able to see him and say good night, and sign a DNR, can you believe they will actually pull a crash cart, cut open and pull apart the chest bone and massage you animals heart for a small price of $450.00 per 20 minuets to keep it alive. Wow, we love our kitty but we couldn't see that happening.

We picked him up this morning, and we are nursing him back to health. He is doing great! Sleeping alot and has no interest in going outside. Can you blame him.

We did call the police and have a case opened and are looking into a neighbor who has been known to make threats against cats with guns.

Please keep curly in you thoughts.
