Both mom and baby are doing great and are at home, as I type this entry. Kaeleana, or Kaylee as she will be call, not sure on the spelling weighed 7lbs 11 or 12 oz, not sure on the length but I am assuming she is tall; we were up till 12:30 am waiting to see them so the details are a little foggy.

If you have any questions please ask Debbie the new Grandma to another beautiful girl.

I will right more later about our new little niece.

We were so happy to have our friends and Kelsey's friends join us. She enjoyed at the wonderful gifts. the party was great we started off with a scavenger hunt around our neighborhood and then bobed for apples, all of the kids actually at the apples! So great. then to the pizza and screaming and playing in the backyard. It was a great night.

Halloween at the Campbell's

We this was the first official halloween where Shelby fully participated and understood, what would happen if you rang a door bell and said Trick or Treat. Someone give you a hand full of candy, and then if you say Happy Halloween in a cute sweet voice you get more candy. Lucky us.

We started the day with a fun parade at Kelsey's school then a class party. The Stone's came over for a little pre trick or treat fun. The kids had fun in their costumes together. The Papa (steve) came over to help with trick or treating. Shelby finally decided to wear her hair. It only took a little bribe. She wasn't going to be able to trick or treat unless she wore the hair. Those costumes are expensive!

We only went to 5-6 houses and we were back in 20 min! I believe I have set a record. We spent the rest of the evening handing out candy, and enjoying all the costumes or the neighborhood kids - and some i have never seen before. But it was a great Kelsey really got into it and was such a good sport, even if her Daddy left with the car to work that held her Cheetah tail and we lost her ears. She could not have been such a good sport. I am really proud of her.

Halloween...

For Halloween this year, Stephen and I dressed up and went to a party at the Martino's. It was fun and crazy. Stephen dressed up at a 70's disco king with leather jacket and gold chain. I was a sweet innocent farmer girl with way to much make up. I decided along time ago that comfort is so much more important than anything. So shoe less and comfy is the way I go.

Kelsey and Shelby spent the night at Deb and Steve's having a great time. The next day we all went home. I was a fun night for the whole family. I would post pictures, but they are a little to crazy. Hope your Halloween is fun and frightful.

This year we have decided that the kids can turn in their candy for money in their piggy bank. The can pick out 10 pieces and then the rest goes to the garbage or donations. Would love to hear your ideas on what you are doing with your 'not so healthy Halloween treats'.

Mommy Got a New Job!!!!

Some of you know that I have been extremely obsessive over the new scrapbook store in Rocklin, well they were looking for a Receiving Manager, so I applied and got the job. Ooh Hoo! I am so excited and looking forward to having my creative juices boosted. I have been in a hugh slump lately so I am hoping this will kick it into gear.
It is however a little crazy at the Campbell house. Stephen has had to step up just a little more with childcare and being at home, which I know he loves! Those girls adore him. And I had to put school on hold AGAIN. But we are excited about the new change and believe it or not I am actually more organized and I get more done. Hmmm. Wonder how that happened.
By the way I bought that new book by Jessica Seinfeld. Interesting. I will let you know who the food turns out. I love the concept, I just wonder how much of it they will eat. I am having my Brownie Troop taste test the food in the next couple of weeks. Last night I made spaghetti sauce with pureed spinach. I thought is was fabulous.

Bishop Pumpkin Patch

The annual Kindergarten trip to the pumpkin patch was so much fun. Not only did the girls and Kelsey's classmates have a great time but so did Stephen. As you can see by the pictures, he was so into it. Shelby not so much I think she was really tired, but hung in there. All four of us came home with great pumpkins just big enough to hold. Check out the pictures. I am really glad that Stephen was able to make it this year.

When Mommy is away...all the children play

While, I ran errands and prepared for my interview with the Green Tangerine, Stephen was in charge of the girls. Well, I never have to worry about what they will be involved with. This time the girls and Stephen made homemade fishing poles and fished in the pool. I really think that Stephen secretly wishes that we could fill the pool of fish in the fall and winter. Here is a picture of the finished products, they had hours of fun. No fish were caught though.

Another Jackpot!!!

Today being my mom's bday, we got to enjoy our family. Meaning seeing Grandpa and Grandma, Uncle Randy and Aunti JJ.

I also received some information on my Maternal Grandma's side yippee!!! All the way back to 1830 in Germany. I am dying to start the search of what ocean liner they were on. This one might need to wait until Stephen leaves for Montana. I can just imagine the lack of sleep I will be getting.

Sad to say that is the only good info I have received in awhile. More updates on the girls to follow I have to get some pics to put up.

Family Fun

Kelsey and her new Hello Kitty Shoes, she says they are made to be worn with out socks. Who would have guessed a 5 year old was in these shoes. These are her new favorite tennis shoes of the school year. I didn't think she would like to wear the color brown, but apparently she does! the other Picture is the day school started we had a special dinner, Shelby decided it wasn't very special or even remotely close. At one point she completely stopped eating and pushed her plate away from her. Stephen is trying to get her to eat another green bean. She protested and he tried to put it up her nose! What a family! It was a great dinner, everyone was full and ready for baths after.

Kelsey's First (second) day of Kindergarten

Well, today was the big day. Kelsey has started a new year of Kindergarten. She loved it so much last year we decided to do it again.

She was so excited, she got up at 6:30 am and couldn't wait to put on her new clothes.

Shelby was not so excited. She wanted to go to school too and wear new clothes. Thankfully we had a Little Gym class today and she was kept occupied.

It was a little sad for me, because she does not have all her good friends in her class anymore. Hopefully she will find the same kind of friendships she did last year.

The really great thing this year was that Stephen was home to be a part of it. It was really good to see him there with her and she loved it.

Stephen made it Home!

Stephen finally made it home on Monday. He had a great time and was happy to see his girls and gauge.

We relaxed all day and took naps, had dinner and started putting the kids down for the night. It was a great day.

Stephen is doing good.

Stephen finally called last night around 12:30 am. I was so worried. He usually calls between 9-10:30 pm. So he made me wait another 2 hours ugh. It was so stressful.

The pic to the right is of 2005 trip on the boat to take them to the plane

He is have an amazing time, fishing is great weather is good and they are having fun. Today they float down or paddle down the remainder of the river to where a boat picks them up and then they go to where the float plane will pick them up. By the end of tonight he will be in Bethel on the way to Anchorage. They fly all day tomorrow and will be home in the am on Monday. We are so excited. We miss him.

Today Karl, Nancy and the girls are coming down to hang out with us and have a sleep over. A super fun day. We are so lucky to have great friends.

I am doing it....finally Warning. LOTS of Whining.

I am going to Cloverdale and SF to do my research. Hopefully I will have a someone to go with me. My plans are to get copies of micro films and books about the early settlers in our family. I have hit a road block on my Maternal Grandmothers side Grandma Jean's family. I am also trying to put a vacation together to go back east to research other family. Anyone interested? Let me know. I have about 4-5 weeks bank up with Stephen, that's how many weeks he is gone "playing" during the fall and winter. I think I am finally due for some mommy hobby time!!!!

Stephen should be home in 3 days. He is to call tonight.

Boy am I ready, Shelby is now screaming at the top of her lungs, because I won't let her watch the Cat in the Hat for the 7th time in 2 days. Yes, I have resorted to tv 24 hours a day! And I don't care. If you have heard her scream for an hour straight you would let her watch tv too. I have to say, Single mom's are super moms.

Wow she stoped, but I know longer have hearing in my left ear.

I am drained, tired and out of motivation to do anything, except whine about it.
I haven't been to the gym in a week and a half. I probably gained 10 lbs. I am bloated, and the house is a crazy mess. Laundry is not done, and I have yet made it to the grocery store, something I love to do.

This post should come with a disclaimer.

Stephen will be home in 4 days and 20 hours, but who's counting.

I received my Gensmarts in the mail. Finally, and I can't install it on my computer. Oh bother as my friend Pooh would say.

The girls and I are great, we are keeping busy waiting for daddy and school to start.

Stephen gone again.....

So Stephen and Rob along with Will (Rob's brother in law) and Steve. Made another trip to the Alaskan Tundra. What ever that is. So we are hear waiting to hear from him. Rob called Carrie on Friday night to let her know that they were safe and sound. That's good to know!

Exciting Stuff - to me anyway

I just ordered the Family Tree Maker 2008, it is suppose to be the best of the best. I also ordered Gensmarts. This program will help me with my to do lists and holes in my research.

I happened to get an email from a women in Charleston South Carolina, a few weeks back. She sent me family history on Samuel Dangerfield. Dorothy (Cookie Girl) Paternal Grandfather. I received names, dates, and counties all the way back to 1700's waa hoo! I was so excited. It really was a good day. Especially since I have been looking for information on Samuel since 2002!

On my side I hit the Jackpot on my Paternal side. Most of you know I don't really have a relationship with my dad. So, I posted messages on the message boards, SIX years later - I received a email from a distant cousin in South Dakota. She sent me info on my Paternal Grandfathers side all the way back to the 1500's. So Exciting. The real exciting part, One of my relatives was Abraham Lincoln - yes the President.

That is all the good news I have received recently. Hopefully more will come.

Ok, Here it Goes (Again)

Ok, so I am trying this again. I am not sure what happened to my other blog. But it disappeared when I made our web page. Go figure.

So, this blog is to keep our family involved in our family research. Family history has become so important to Stephen and I. We hope that you will get excited with us on our journey where ever it may take us. Hopefully to beautiful places. You can also post comments and questions. There will also be a link to our family website and from there you can find our family tree home page, along with other links that we frequently use.
